John O'Brien committed suicide by hanging himself with a pair of
leather handcuffs at Grand Island on Wednesday.

Anna M. Ochs the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ochs died
Wednesday afternoon.

After a long and painful sickness, Alonzo E. Owens died at his home
in the Third Ward in this city Tuesday, the funeral being held on
Wednesday afternoon, at the M.E. church, the members of the fire
department and Tate Lodge, A.O.U.W., and a large concourse of our
citizens attending. Mr. Owens was not quite 36 years old, and leaves
a wife, three children, two brothers and a host of friends to mourn
his early demise, for he was a man that was well liked by all who
knew him. He leaves his family two thousand dollars insurance in the
A.O.U.W.
